Suspect robs Seashore Park restaurant at knifepoint, police say – NBC Chicago

A 41-year-old Zion resident has been arrested and charged with allegedly robbing a Seashore Park restaurant at knifepoint.

Based on authorities, the suspect entered a restaurant within the 38900 block of North Lewis Street at roughly 7:35 p.m. Thursday and robbed two staff at knifepoint.

The suspect, who was carrying a hooded sweatshirt and a surgical masks to hide his id, stole an unspecified sum of money from the money register and fled the scene, police stated. Neither worker was injured within the theft.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies deployed a Okay-9 canine throughout their investigation, monitoring the suspect to a parking zone, indicating he had fled the scene in a automobile.
