CHICAGO (WLS) — A suspect exchanged gunfire with a Chicago police officer after allegedly taking pictures somebody on the West Aspect early Saturday, officers stated.
CPD stated officers responded to a name about pictures fired close to North and Waller avenues within the North Austin neighborhood round 12:45 a.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they noticed somebody taking pictures at an individual on the bottom, police stated.
Police stated the individual taking pictures then fired on the responding officers, hanging their squad automotive. One officer returned hearth.
It was not instantly clear what number of rounds have been fired.
The suspect fled the scene however was taken into custody a short while later, police stated.
Police stated the individual on the bottom suffered a number of gunshot wounds and was taken to an area hospital in an unknown situation.
No officers have been injured, and three weapons have been recovered from the scene.
Costs in opposition to the suspect are pending.
