PARK CITY, Utah — The Sundance Movie Competition welcomes creatives from all features of the trade, together with lots of this 12 months’s Oscar nominees.
“A Full Unknown” director James Mangold is receiving the Trailblazer Award, and “Depraved” star Cynthia Erivo is receiving the Visionary Award on the Sundance Movie Competition Gala.
Mangold has had a detailed relationship with Sundance, from first taking part within the Institute’s artist applications in 1994, to receiving the pageant’s Particular Jury Prize for Directing in 1995 for his directorial debut, “Heavy.” Now, the filmmaker is nominated for Greatest Director and Greatest Image at this 12 months’s Oscars.
