All native property homeowners can count on to pay slightly bit extra in property taxes subsequent 12 months as all three native public college districts are set to extend their particular person levy.
The general public elementary college boards at Lake Forest District 67 and Lake Bluff District 65 plus Lake Forest Neighborhood Excessive College District 115 all handed their tentative property tax levies in November.
At Lake Forest District 67, the varsity board unanimously handed a tentative 3.96 % improve for current property homeowners at their Nov. 19 assembly. The influence can be an extra $188 on a house valued at $1 million, in keeping with Chief Working Officer Jennifer Hermes.
At Lake Forest Excessive College, the varsity board accredited a 3.4 % improve on Nov. 12. Hermes informed the board that will result in a $154 improve on a $1 million dwelling.
The property tax levy is separate from the almost $106 million handed by voters in 2023 for a renovation of Lake Forest Excessive College.
LFHS represented 28.4 % of the full property tax invoice, whereas District 67 took up 26.4 % within the final levy, in keeping with Metropolis of Lake Forest Finance Director Elizabeth Holleb.
In the meantime, the District 65 college board handed a tentative 3 % improve for current property homeowners on Nov. 19, in keeping with Director of Finance and Operations Jay Kahn.
That will result in a property tax increase of $170 for a $600,000 dwelling.
District 65 represents 40 % of the general village’s property tax invoice, Kahn stated.
All three college boards are anticipated to cross their last levy in December.
