HINCKLEY, Sick. (WLS) — A pilot was killed and a toddler was injured in a airplane crash Saturday simply previous the west suburbs, officers stated.
The crash occurred round 2:33 p.m. in a farm subject simply west of Hinckley Airfield, 12747 US-30, in Hinckley, Illinois, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.

The pilot of the small airplane, a 51-year-old man from Maple Park, was killed within the crash and was pronounced lifeless on the scene, Hinckley fireplace officers stated. The medical expert has not launched his identification.
A 3-year-old passenger, whose gender was not identified, had non-life threatening accidents from the airplane crash, fireplace officers stated. The kid was taken to Northwestern Medication Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb after which Lurie Kids’s Hospital in Chicago.
The airplane that crashed was a single-engine 1946 Aeronca 7 AC, the sheriff stated.
