Chicago physician arrested after canine discovered ravenous in storage bin, police say

A Chicago physician is accused of abusing a canine that was found barely respiratory inside a crate.

A cleansing girl discovered the malnourished Portuguese water canine, named Betty, inside a plastic storage bin positioned in a bath, in keeping with police experiences.

The incident occurred in March 2024 within the 2200 block of North Lakewood Avenue.
