Chicago Academics Union leaders on Thursday stated negotiations for a brand new trainer’s contract are at a standstill.
CTU President Stacy Davis Gates claimed that Chicago Public Faculties’ negotiators now say they want the Board of Training’s approval to maneuver ahead on financial proposals. Gates says this contradicts a Christmas Eve ruling by a Cook dinner County decide that barred board members from negotiating with the CTU with out the approval of CPS CEO Pedro Martinez.

In a press release, CPS officers didn’t tackle whether or not their negotiators want board approval on financial issues. However they stated they had been dedicated to negotiating with the CTU and reaching a deal.
