BROADVIEW, In poor health. – The Broadview Village Board assembly was full of folks wanting to speak in regards to the affect the ICE facility has on the village, first responders and neighbors.
Protestors spoke on to Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson about her government orders limiting protest hours and area.
They are saying the restrictions restrict their free speech.

“I witnessed brokers hitting folks on the grond who have been doing nothing. They weren’t popping out of the gate. They weren’t stopping anyone and I witnessed the roof the brokers that have been aiming and simply very carelessly capturing downward and hitting folks under,” Amanda Tovar stated.
Protestors stated it’s why they should be nearer to the ICE processing facility and be current longer than the official protest hours of 9 a.m. by means of 6 p.m.
On Saturday, Illinois State Police bodily confronted protestors who didn’t go away at 6 p.m.
Audio system stated state troopers are perpetuating the violence.
