Native priest accused of sexual abuse of a minor greater than 40 years in the past

CHICAGO – An area priest has been accused of sexually abusing a minor, based on the Archdiocese of Chicago.

What we all know:

Father Ronald Kondziolka has been accused of sexual abuse of a minor at St. Brendan Parish in Chicago. The alleged abuse occurred greater than 40 years in the past.

Kondziolka has served as a resident, assistant pastor, affiliate pastor, administrator, and chaplain at parishes and hospitals all through the Chicago space since 1987.

The Archdiocese of Chicago notified the native parishes of the allegations. 

Kondziolka denies the allegations.

Most lately, Kondziolka was an affiliate pastor at St. Veronica Parish till June 2023.

• Affiliate pastor at S. Martin Parish from June 1981 to January 1983

• Affiliate pastor at St. Veronica Parish from July 2022 to June 2023

Kondziolka has been directed to stay out of the ministry and chorus from attending all parish and college actions.
